We self perform electrical, millwright, process piping, steel fabrication, and concrete work in the industrial environments. A majority of our employees are multi-crafted. All are trained as helpers (minimum) or journeymen for other trades, eliminating excess manpower requirements and potential delays caused by one trade waiting on another trade to do their work. Our supervisors are trained in multiple trades working as one team for a common goal – a safe, quality, cost effective and timely installation.

 

Our installation technicians are well equipped with proper tools and equipment and are backed by our in house mechanical and electrical engineers.  Our goal is quality installations, on time and within budget. Excellent in house purchasing and estimating departments support our field people. Our purchasing staff excels in fast track procurement, expediting and documentation of day-to-day construction material as well as specialty items to support RAI’s field operations. Our estimating department thrives on competitive bidding as well as negotiations of small and large projects. About half of our work is awarded through competitive bidding.

 

Our mechanical and electrical capabilities have led to a natural progression into new building construction and additions in industrial plants. RAI typically self performs 75% of the building construction and subcontracts 25% of the work. By self-performing a high percentage of the work, RAI has the ability to meet tight schedules that would be impossible for a typical general contractor to meet. RAI also has the unique ability to keep the costs under budget. We do not have the many tiers of mark-ups typical general contractors have with their subcontractors, as well as subcontractors to their subcontractors.
